Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Kay and I am creating this space to share my journey and understanding of parenting a child with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD).

I am an adult adoptee and an adoptive parent. Two of my children have been diagnosed with RAD. When I became a foster parent, I thought I had the personal insight and academic understanding of what I needed to be an effective foster parent. I was wrong.

The first time my children attempted to jump out of a moving car in a fit of frustration, I realized I was in way over my head.

I hope to provide information and encouragement to others in the same spot. I want to provide hope, understanding, and support for anyone navigating the world of RAD. I often feel isolated and misunderstood. I hope to provide information and encouragement to others in the same spot.
